BEYOND OUR PROGRAM

Kidz Kreative Zone is one of a kind in the Billings area. There is no other program like ours. Aside from the fact it is non profit and offered through the club, it is one of the most unbeatable program when it comes to the performing arts and achievements members can gain and earn through the program.

KKZ verses STUDIOS : Some of the best benefits of members in the KKZ program verses schools and studios are:
1. AFFORDABLE: We are non profit, means our cost is lowest possible for everything (shows, supplies, performances, costumes, and more).
2. DESIGNED TO SUIT ALL: The program is designed to suit all members both boys and girls of all ages, abilities, interest allowing members to move at their own pace. Students are not rushed but encouraged to always do their best.
3. NON COMPETITIVE: While we do offer competitive opportunities, our classes are non competitive to our members, meaning, we do not use our classes for competitive purposes or expect our students to excell at any particular rate. We also have a firm rule that we are a team, we work as a team, perform as a team, and behave as a team.
4. REWARDING: Members in our program are awarded for their dedication, participation, and commitment to the program. They do not have to attend competition to win or become a star. Students are given equal opportunity to become stars. All students are awarded at the end of the year.
5. WELL ROUNDED: Our program is designed for everyone no matter what situation, life style, behavior issues, we invite all. No child should ever be declined the opportunity to enjoy and learn dance regardless.
6. ITS A PROGRAM: Studios are designed to teach, instruct, and train members to become dancers, actors, performers, means it is more strict, there are expectations that both parents and members must meet to qualify and particpate in the classes. Studios are intended to be used strictly for training purposes to become competitive dancers. The club we offer both, if a member does not wish to be competitive only wishes to enjoy class and perform we welcome these members. If a member wants to excel and go beyond basics, we give them this opportunity. Our program is designed to give our members what they desire and want. Studios are designed based on professionalism and strictly for training.

In addition to the comparison of our program and a studio, we offer so much more due to the fact we are a program.
1. Teaching Opportunities: Students can be helpers, assistants, and older teens can work their way up to be teachers and choreographers. This is something studios do not offer and are limited to the offer. The benefit of members in our program that do take up on these roles become role models to our younger and newer students, it decreases competitive attitude, it instills team work, patience, cooperation of our older and more advanced students. It also helps our members to be more compassionate and caring about other members in the program.
2. Members will have excellent opportunities if they should continue to study dance once they leave our program such as minor in college. They will not only know dance, techniques, and a great variety, but have basic to beyond skills in choreography, teaching, and more. This is a real plus and advantage to our members.

HONORS & SCHOLARSHIPS: No other performing arts program offers the same amount of opportunities for kids to earn honors and scholarships.

1. Students can be selected and noted for their outstanding personality, behavior, participation in the dance program as the club Member of the Month.
2. Older teens can be nominated for the club Youth of the Year which offers a scholarship through participation of the KKZ program.
3. Our students have finer qualification for dance program scholarships as volunteers which shows real devotion and dedication not only to KKZ but to the community. This is something that every member should take pride in and things that make members stand out.
4. Every student is a winner in our program during our Awards Ceremony and have opportunity to earn awards and honors just being a part of the program. We also honor and award our parent leaders too!

OUR MISSION AND GOAL

1. To give every child and teen the opportunity to be a part of the performing arts. No child is denied regardless of skill, behavior, life style, or ethics.

2. To instill team work, self confidence, compassion, and become better members not only to the KKZ program, but at home, school, and the community. We care about the kids, not just their talents.

3. We want every member to have the fullest opportunities before they graduate from school. We encourage that they focus on things that will help them as teens and as adults. Our goal is to instill life lessons, to prepare them for challenge, teach them about compassion and responsibility.

4. Our program is designed for and about kids, not just about professionalism. We want this program to not only be a great learning experience, but to be fun for all.

5. We are free spirited! We give every member opportunities that suit them, rather than requiring every member must meet certain expectations to be spetacular. Whether the member wants to just have fun or be competitive and beyond, we offer what the members want.

6. Pre-Teens and Teens we offer beyond just dance, we provide discussion, group meets, and aim to prepare young and older teens to become better members of the program, community, school and help them find opportunities to advance in school programs (majorette, cheerleading, dance teams and more). We also give and guide them to opportunties to earn honors and scholarships.

I, April, director of the program began when I was 14. The program has given me an opportunity of a life time with many achievements, honors, and success not only in performing arts, but beyond (college, work force and more). I want to give these same opportunities to members of my program.
